Utility Box Project
When shown the back of my embroidered canvasses, people have been intrigued by the process and so for my piece in the Capitol Box Art Project, I explored these elements on a backdrop of sewing pattern paper.
At almost 5' tall, these characters become human in scale and showcase the sewing process with its threads, wrinkles and pins.
Along with the help of CADA's in-house graphic desinger, Karen Ulep, the design was eventually printed onto vinyl and wrapped onto an utility box
located on the corner of
16th and P in Sacramento, CA.
